Situation

We were designing the Autodesk Assistant, a chatbot that uses AI to deliver self-service responses and seamlessly connects you to an agent. I was managing a team of 3 designers and we were working to replace the decision tree led interactions across all properties with conversational flows. We started running into challenges with multiple iterations of components being used across our deliverables leading to confusion and re-work across the engineering, QA and design.

Problem Statement

How might we ensure consistency and efficiency and reduce effort and errors as we design flows and scale across use cases and properties.

Task

Design and document reusable components in a central place so that designers and engineers can reference them easily.
